This was my first tome at Sushiwa, but it will not be my last! The fish was fresh the spicy tuna was very spicy and our Unagi was fantastic.
We had Rainbow, Cali, Spicy Tuna and Unagi Nigiri and they were each fantastic.
I'm surprised it wasn't busier considering the quality of the food, and am looking forward to returning with my family. -

I have been here a couple times and I am sad I don't love it more because it is so close to my home !
Food: The first time I went here I was pretty impressed with the sushi but I just went back for a second time and I was just not as excited the second time around. The rolls are average on size. This recent time I went I ordered a volcano roll and a rattlesnake roll and they were good but I would probably not order it again. I also ordered a diet Pepsi and it just did not taste right it was flat and had a metallic taste to it.
Service: Everyone is super friendly and nice. You can tell that it is a family run establishment so they want to make sure you are satisfied with your meal.
Overall I will give it another try soon I am not ready to give up on this place just yet. -

To my surprise they have been around for such a long time and I have not heard bout them until recently. Sushiwa is a small family owned business run by husband and wife. The husband is the sushi maker and the wife is the server, so expect some wait time for your order. Nonetheless, the staffs are very nice and the food was well presented to us. We ordered a medium size boat, and I kid you not when I say our food was gone in minutes. It was so good that we ordered additional four rolls. Our fan favorites were Volcano, Cowboy and Sushiwa special. The sashimis were amazingly good and fresh as well. They also serve alcoholic beverages like Sake, Ramune (Japanese soda), Korean and Japanese beer options.
All in all, they have great tasting food, very welcoming staff and descent price for sushi compared to other places in town. Will come back again! -

Never again. I'm writing this review as I sit here STILL WAITING for my food. I've been here for over 1.5 hours and there's only 4 other parties in the restaurant.
I finally just got my food and the portions are so small. The prices are way too high for what you get. The spicy tuna was horrible and covered in hot sauce. I could have rolled my own sushi rolls faster. I will never come back. -

I am from seattle and we have plenty of Sushi spots that offer just a good if not better fish, with bigger portions (by far) for the same price or less.
I was surprised when I ordered takeout and open up my box when I got home.
Yes the fish is fresh but very overpriced.
If you're ever in seattle go to Fremont bowl. For $15 you get 13-15 large sashimi pieces (variety) and it's fresher than this spot.
